Garden Architecture is a landscape architecture and build firm headquartered in Berkeley, California. With over 120 projects in their portfolio, they sought a fresh way to showcase their work and approached me to redesign their website.
The client needed a website that was both simple and elegant, with a designated space to showcase their wonderful projects in all their glory. They desired a site that was easy to maneuver and uncluttered - the design aesthetic needed to look sleek and professional.
The purpose of the project was to create a space for the client to exhibit their projects with a user-friendly interface. The website wasn't meant to be salesy, and the client's priorities were for the website to look modern, clean, and premium while also being mobile responsive.
After reviewing the requirements, we decided that the website should be image-heavy and use text content only where absolutely necessary. We also determined that there was no need for conversion-focused sections to be present on the website as its purpose is to serve as a showcase and archive for years to come.
The goals were accomplished by creating a custom design for all of the pages on Figma first. This ensured that everything would be according to the requirements. The website was then developed on Webflow because it is more flexible in terms of design and also easy to use for everyone.
